Picture This: Dale Sveum's Senior Yearbook Photo

Yahoo teases the former local kid who now lives in the Big Leagues.

Given the intricate web of the Web today, escaping past sins seems to be impossible. Yahoo! has exploited a yearbook photo of Pinole Valley High School grad and new Chicago Cubs manager Dale Sveum.

Yahoo! Sports posted a 1982 photo of Sveum in a blue and white tux. It's a bit embarrassing, but also forgivable — considering the fashion tastes of the era.

Yahoo! quoted Sveum: "I'm not exactly the most fashionable guy or somebody that is going to smile or take pictures very well all the time."

That might be true, but Sveum seemed to toe the line back in the day that the picture was taken.

A promising football and baseball player at Pinole Valley High School, Sveum had a lackluster career in Major League Baseball before working his way up to manager of the long-suffering Cubs in the coming season.

For the record, after Sveum's senior year at Pinole Valley High, the Cubs finished in fifth place in the National League East division, with a record of 73-89, a full 19 games behind the St. Louis Cardinals.

Thirty years later, Sveum will try to guide the forlorn Cubs to their first World Series Championship since 1908.

We wish him luck in 2012.
