City Council Debate: Video Quotes

New Town Center, Nelson Oliva and Wastewater were discussed.

All eight City Council candidates joined in Tuesday’s televised debate, which was divided into three question and answer segments and moderated by Contra Costa Times political columnist Lisa Vorderbrueggen.

The first segment included Mark Anthony Jones, Sherry McCoy and Dan Romero. The three candidates are seeking to fill the council seat left vacant in the June 7 election.

The second part of the forum was made up of Mayor Joanne Ward, who is facing a recall election, also on June 7, William Wilkins and Virgil Delavega, both competing to unseat Ward.
