El Sol, opened in 1982, was a Best of the Bay 2010 nominee for Best Mexican Food.

Start with the famed El Sol Nachos ($5.25) and the savory Southwest lumpia ($6.50) – enticingly creative and crispy. For the next course, order either the two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans ($7.50) or the carne asada burrito ($6.75). Make the burrito “wet” for $2 more. With both entrees come with delicious mountains of oozing melted cheese and a succulent, soupy red enchilada sauce.
