5 Things: Fire Department Open House, Hercules Fitness Anniversary Party and a Found Kitten

It's a busy week in Hercules Patch world, so this week's Five Things... has got to be super short.

1)   On Saturday, the Hercules Fire Department open house from 11 a.m. to 2pm. There will be hotdogs and popcorn, and local residence can pick up home helmets for their children at the event. There will also be an exhibit of Bay Area native snakes.

2)   will celebrate its three-year anniversary with a party on Saturday.  There will be music, food and kids activities. For details on the event, call (510) 724-2900.

3)   There are two government meetings the second half of this week. The Citizens Legal Issue Ad Hoc Committee meets Wednesday at 7 p.m., and the Community and Library Services Commission meets Thursday also at 7 p.m. Both meetings are in the City Hall Council Chambers.

4)   Are you missing a little black cat? This person found a kitten in Hercules and is happy to return it to its rightful owners.
