Bites Nearby: 44 Sports Lounge

A hip and happening sports bar's friendly location for cheap eats and drinks.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Hercules Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

At 848 Willow Ave. in Hercules, 44 Sports Lounge is a neighborhood stop that packs a mean punch. With a seven-day Happy Hour menu featuring $5 drinks and eats, it has the type of deal you certainly don’t want to fumble.

A trendy, sports-friendly atmosphere including multiple televisions and a large viewing areas with chic couches and chairs becomes any fan’s dream end zone.

Don’t pass up 44’s “mouth-watering” sliders of Southern Fried Catfish, Bar-B-Que Pulled Pork and Tender Kobe Beef, or their famous crispy chicken wings – Spicy Buffalo, Southern Fried, Crispy Asian or the Sensational Lemon Pepper.

As for drinks, try the Hercules Sunset (if you like pineapple) or the 44 Margarita to complete game time.

Comfort food in a comfortable environment? Next time you grab the remote, make sure to remember the motto: “Your game is always on at 44.”

Sounds like a fun local place to visit. Who reviewed the Lounge?

Thanks for the comment, Cindy. Our very own Gina Giacalone wrote it. I've added her byline. :)
