Miss Hercules Pageant: And the Winner is …

Kristiana Sunga was crowned Miss Hercules.

The Miss Hercules crown has been passed to 15-year-old Kristiana Sunga.

In addition to the title and crystal crown, Sunga also gets a $5,000 scholarship, a trip to Puerto Vallarta and a $200 gift certificate for Lush Cosmetics.

Miss Hercules represents the Miss Hercules Organization at city events as the city’s “ambassadress,” according to The Hercules Express.

Sunga takes over for former Miss Hercules Dominique Jones, who currently attends University of California, Merced.

Nine young women competed for the Miss Hercules crown. Courtney Dawson was the first runner-up; Janette Lares was named second runner-up, The Hercules Express reports.

The Miss Hercules pageant was held April 14 at the Hercules Community Center. Former American Idol season 11 contestant DeAndre Brackensick performed during the pageant.

My granddaughter, Kristiana Sunga is the new Miss Hercules 2013. Our family is so proud of her. We are very thankful to Richard White and the Miss Hercules Organization for giving her the opportunity to be part of a wonderful organization that is committed to helping young women lift their self-esteem and feel good about themselves. These young women will be positive role models for younger girls.
