Pinole Artisan's monthly general meeting is held the first Friday of every month at the Pinole Methodist Church, 2000 San Pablo Ave., from 7 to 9 pm. All are welcome! Bring your art to show - we vote for our favorites and award peer award ribbons. We also have snacks and a speaker or activity at each meeting.
July 6th meeting: Vickie and Michael Resso are in love with face painting and body art, and kids and adults alike are in love with their wonderful face painting! Come see what the Ressos learned at the Las Vegas Face Painting Convention last March. Slide show and demo by Vickie and Mike, along with Georgia Burton, Donna Now and Mary Ann Duran. Bring your own models (kids, grandkids, anyone young, or not as young) are welcome to attend and get a free tribal design, glitter tattoo, or fun face.
Pinole Artisan members can have their work exhibited at the Pinole Art Center. Members sign up at the general meeting, or by calling the Art Center at 510.724-2008. The shows at the Art Center vary in length, but are about 2 months each. Everyone in the show works at least 3 hours a week at the Art Center. To be in the holiday show, you have to have been in at least 2 prior shows that year.
