Documentary film showing: Legacy of the Nisei
Join us for a viewing of the documentary film Legacy of the Nisei followed by a Q and A session with the film makers. Experience first-hand accounts of life in the World War II internment camps and of Nisei soldiers who fought for the United States while their families were interned in ten camps throughout the United States. This composite film tells stories of love and marriage, the MIS (Military Intelligence Service) and the segregated 100th/442nd Regimental Combat Team, resistance to the draft and the lives of young people caught up in the government action that followed the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
