What Should Go Here?: Hercules Market Hall Site

The Hercules Market Hall site has been mostly vacant for a year and a half now.

There are some plans in the works, but what would you like to see built on the 6.5-acre site at the corner of San Pablo Avenue and Sycamore Avenue?

The property used to host farmers markets and other community-related venues. It closed in December 2011.

Red Barn originally had plans to put in a high-density mixed-used development there, but they weren't able to put together a viable project, said Hercules City Manager Steve Duran.

Since then, McNellis Partners has purchased the site. They are working with city planners on what development to build. The company has also held two community meetings to gather input.
