Do You Remember When Green Day Performed At Pinole Valley High?

Several people have put videos on YouTube of the 1990 concert on campus

It was several years before they were well known.

In 1990, the East Bay rock group Green Day put on a concert at Pinole Valley High School.

The band was formed in 1987 and hit the big time with the release of the album "Dookie" in 1994.

Lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong and other original band members attended Pinole Valley High. Armstrong dropped out halfway through his senior year to pursue his music career.

In 1990, the 18-year-old Armstrong and his band changed their name from "Sweet Children" to "Green Day." They also played on stage for their fellow classmates.

Several people have put videos up on YouTube that captured that concert.

Were you there that day? What do you remember? Let us know in the comments section.
