Bio-Rad in Hercules Gives 7 Tons of Donations to Local Pantry

The Contra Costa Times reports that the donation will supply the emergency pantry for much of the next year.

A massive donation from a Hercules business will help feed and supply families at a local pantry for much of the next year. That business is Bio-Rad Laboratories, whose generosity was highlighted in the Contra Costa Times last week:

Employees at the firm's Hercules campus and the other Bio-Rad facilities in the East Bay last month assembled more than 14,000 pounds of food and diapers for the Contra Costa County California Employment and Human Services emergency pantry.

That's seven tons. Read about how the donations were collected in the full Times story, which has all the details.
