Another Tilden Park Quake & Aftershocks Rattle East Bay

An earthquake with tentative magnitude of 3.2 centered in Tilden Park northeast of the UC Berkeley campus struck at 1:07 a.m., followed a preliminary 2.7 aftershock, Oct. 15, 2013, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
For the second time this month, an earthquake centered on the Hayward Fault in Tilden Park near Berkeley rattled the East Bay early today, Tuesday.
The preliminary 3.2-magnitude temblor struck at 1:07 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Two aftershocks of preliminary 2.7 and 2.6 magnitudes hit at 2:06 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. respectively, the USGS said.
