Saint Mary's Blood Drive a Big Success
A big "Thank You" to everyone who helped make the annual Saint Mary's High Blood Drive a huge, life-saving event yesterday. More than 90 people signed up for the drive. 60 usable units were donated on Thursday as Blood Centers of the Pacific staff worked tirelessly throughout the day in the school gym. The blood will be separated into plasma, platelets and red blood cells—enough to save 180 lives--and used by Bay Area hospitals.
