WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (June 20, 2012) - On Saturday, August 25th, 2012, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Contra Costa County is hosting its third annual Festival of Latin Culture. This is the first year the festival will be an all-day event and held on Locust Street in vibrant Downtown Walnut Creek.
The Festival, begun in 2009, is one of the many activities organized by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to promote cultural education, awareness and promote local Hispanic businesses and artists.
The Chamber anticipates over 2,000 attendees to join this family oriented event celebrating the wide array of Latin cultures through live Latin music, kids activities, arts and crafts, authentic local Latin cuisine, and much more.
There will be a live musical performance by Julio Bravo Salsa Orchestra, who closed the festival in 2009. The Festival will be a day for the entire family to enjoy.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of John Muir Health, Humana, Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP, Travis Credit Union, and Mass Mutual Financial Group, the Hispanic Chamber is able to host a bigger and better Festival of Latin Culture than ever before.
Admission is free to the general public. Festival hours are 10am – 7pm Saturday, August 25, 2012. The event will be held on Locust Street between Civic and Bonanza.
