Areas of public interest are:
<ul><li>The Board is continuing to review their service delivery to determine if the District should be integrated into Con Fire. There is no written report but a verbal report will be presented by the Chief. Next Wednesday, May 15 at 6PM a 2 hour special meeting on possible annexation to ConFire will be held at Station 76. The verbal update is a precursor to the meeting on May 15. Board is using the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan as a guide but also value Community input. Strategic plan discussions are now at the front of the agenda. </li><li>Action Item for approval on the Consent Calendar will adopt 2 upcoming annual increases to the Fire Suppression and Supplemental Suppression Assessment for Fiscal Year 2024-2025. If approved by the Board the new amount for both assessments will be $111 per one risk factor. Adoption of the Benefit Assessment resolution will result in approximately $1,363,968 in revenue to the RHFD.</li><li>New Weed Abatement program</li><li>Presentation on 2024 Local Hazard Mitigation Program; Public comment period ends May 31. </li></ul>

Everyone has become accustomed to the “throw-it-away” lifestyle. If an item is broken or does not seem to work anymore, we are quick to throw it out and buy a new one. However, many items can easily be fixed instead of buying new. Why not learn to repair?
Bring your broken and non-functioning things — electronic gadgets, appliances, computers, toys, sewing machines, bicycles, fabric items, etc. — for assessment, disassembly, and possibly repair. FixIt Coaches will be available for consultation on broken items; workspace, specialty tools, and guidance will be provided to help you troubleshoot your item. Offer your expertise as well and join in on the fun!
All ages are welcome and the event is open to the whole family.

Join us at Community Alliance Church for GriefShare, a 13-week support group designed to offer comfort, understanding, and hope to those grieving.&nbsp;

GriefShare is a faith-based program that provides a safe and compassionate environment for individuals to explore their grief, share their experiences, and find support among others facing similar challenges. Each session includes a video seminar featuring expert insights, group discussions for personal sharing, and workbook exercises for reflection and healing.&nbsp;

This group is open to all community members, regardless of where you are in your grief journey. Whether your loss is recent or you've been carrying it for some time, you'll find a welcoming and supportive space at GriefShare.&nbsp;

Our GriefShare group meets at Community Alliance Church, located on the border of San Pablo and Richmond, CA. We'll gather every Wednesday starting June 5, 2024, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, with a one-week break for the 4th of July holiday.
