Woman Arrested For Stealing $300 Pool From BigLots

A male suspect had an altercation with the store's manager as well, after the manager attempted to take a photo of his car.

 

Hercules police were dispatched to BigLots for a reported theft that had occurred on Monday. The suspect was described as a African American, adult female, according to police, who shared the following account Thursday: 

The female was seen pushing a cart containing a boxed $300 swimming pool out of the west exit without paying for it. The alarm on the door was activated and the female ran towards Round Table. The male subject picked up the female near Round Table.  Officers responded to the 300 block of California Street and located the vehicle ... contact was made with a female who fit the description of the theft suspect.  22 year old Kim Williams was positively identified as the person committing the theft.  She was arrested for Petty Theft and cite released.

The manager of Big Lots followed the suspect out of the store and saw her get in to a White Ford, driven by an African American adult male.  The manager was able to get picture of the vehicle.  Upon seeing the Manager taking a picture of the vehicle the male exited the vehicle and attempted to take the manager’s phone. A case was taken for Attempt Robbery.  

According to Hercules Police, the case is still under investigation.
